JOSEPH GURKIN has been composing and producing for over 15 years. He strives for writing and creating heart and soul music. With great detail and passion, he works in a collaborative setting to help the artist achieve their vision. A recent graduate of The Recording Conservatory of Austin, he has been working hard in the studio with artists in pre and post production on albums in addition to filling A/V audio contracts.
SOUND STEADY offers many services. From engineering studio sessions, recording live concerts to writing and collaborating with artist. SOUND STEADY will put every ounce of quality and love into what it helps to perform and create.
We can collaborate with artist to create an amazing track or album. SOUND STEADY also works with BONES CORE.

BONES CORE is a production team with Joseph Gurkin and Charles Stewart. Together they draw many influences through Trip-Hop, Trap, Punk Rock, New Wave, Soul and even Rock steady to creat a sound that is unique, soulful, and outside the box.
After entering the advanced program at TRCoA Joseph had the opportunity to intern at Area 51 studios. There he was able to work along side many producers in the industry including Howie Beno. Joseph is still currently apart of the Area 51 family and will continue to asist Mathew Lee Clark with projects and use the studio for his own growing client base
Joseph Gurkin has had the opertunity and privilege to produce up and coming artist such as. local Folk Punk Rockers Pickles, Heart & Soul solo artist Poppy Fields and co produced the latest S/T Butts album.
With SOUND STEADY Joseph provides his service as both a tracking engineer and a mixing engineer. He has access to many studios around the Austin area.
SOUND STEADY can not only record you in the studio, but can also provide live venue recordings. In adition we can mix the tracks to complete a album or a single release. During SXSW 2017 Joseph was able to record Cheetah Chrome at Hotel Vegas for AREA 51 and has also recorded at House of Screams.
